This website sets no cookies

This website has no analytics, no ads and no social media buttons or videos. We load no scripts from other companies: everything comes from our own server. That is why we set no cookies and don't ask for your consent with a cookie banner.

We don't store anything in your browser's storage either, such as localStorage. If you switch language, you simply go to another page.

No session replay, no tracking

Nothing in BoothBuddy records how you move, click, scroll or type. There is no session replay, no heatmap, no analytics, no advertising pixel and no fingerprinting: not on this website, not in the web app, not in the guest galleries, not on the slideshow, not in mail and not in the apps.

Fonts

Fonts are served from our own server, on this website, in the web app and in the galleries. Your browser asks no font service for them, so no such service sees your IP address.

What our hosting provider sees

Like any website, our hosting provider receives technical data such as your IP address and browser, to serve the pages and protect the site against abuse. More in our privacy policy.

The web app

The web app at app.getboothbuddy.com uses one functional cookie, booth_session, to keep you signed in. It is strictly necessary, holds no data about your browsing and lasts 30 days. It is renewed while you keep using the web app, up to 90 days at most, and goes when you sign out. It needs no consent. The web app sets no other cookies for customers. Only the person who runs BoothBuddy gets a second one when logging in to the admin area, booth_admin: strictly necessary too, and gone after 12 hours at most.

Browser storage in the web app

The web app keeps a few small values in your browser's localStorage. They stay on your device and are not sent to us. They are choices you make yourself, or what the booth needs to do what you ask. None of them is for analysis or advertising, which is why they need no consent:

  • booth.lang: the language you chose;
  • preview-orientation: whether the booth preview stands upright or lies flat;
  • booth.prints. plus the event: on a computer that runs the booth, how many prints were made there, for the print limit you set.

The booth on a computer

A computer that runs the booth, in a browser or in the desktop app, also keeps data in its browser storage (IndexedDB and Cache Storage), so it works without network and never loses a photo. This is strictly necessary for the booth and needs no consent. A computer that doesn't run the booth keeps none of this:

  • boothbuddy-booth (IndexedDB): guests' photos, their form answers and the addresses and numbers they typed, until these have reached our server and the guest has left; the events that are ready; this computer's key for our server; who is signed in (name and email address); a salted hash of the booth's PIN; and the booth's settings;
  • booth-shell-v1 (Cache Storage): the booth's own page and program files;
  • booth-pictures-v1 (Cache Storage): the events' pictures, such as designs and backgrounds.

When you sign out, your sign-in details and the saved events go. This computer's key goes too, unless sessions are still waiting to upload: then it stays for those and goes once they are up. The rest, such as the PIN and the program files, stays on this computer until someone clears the browser's data for this site. That also clears photos that haven't uploaded yet.

Guest galleries

Guest galleries and the slideshow set no cookies. If an event's gallery has an access code, your browser remembers that code in sessionStorage (gallery-code: plus the event) until you close the tab, so you don't have to type it again.

We count on our server how often a page is opened. For that we store nothing on your device and read nothing from it. More about this in our privacy policy.
